Parking brake on 1994 Pace Arrow by Margaret
Post New Message I have a 1994 37J motorhome and when I put the gear shift into park and apply the parking brake, the coach rolls. The brake doesn't hold at all. I know there is no park gear in the transmission and I am told that on the back of the transmission is a seperate parking brake set up, and that either the shoes are bad, or the pin is broken or we simply have a fuse blown. We have had in it the shop 3 times and everyone has no idea what to do.They tell me not to try to fix it ourselves because there is a really strong spring in there that will harm us. The parking brake does work enough to work our jacks, but our jacks dont work right either. There was a spring that fell off under the coach that went from the back of the tranny to the park brake, that when we release the park brake it moves out. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks
