This link is no longer available for the manual for this brake controller... Is there another site ? ? ?
I replaced a fuse under the hood of my 1997 Dodge Ram pickup last fall. If I remember correctly the light on the trailer brake controller # 10958001 was green until you applied the brakes and it went to yellow and then red. It only shows red now and the brakes on the trailer aren't working.
Looking for wiring diagram/installation for kelsey trailor brake controller 10958001 for a 2000 Dodge Dakota. I would appreciate any help that you could give me.Thank you....

Black - +12v direct from battery make sure you have a 20 amp breaker or fuse in ckt

I got given a kelsey brake controller the numbers on the back are 10958001 i want to put it in a 83 chevy pick-up i need a manul and a wiring diagram plz help im clueless about stuff like thiss
Here is a manual for the brake controller. not the same number manual but i have the same controller (10958001) and used this manual. brakes work perfect.
Not complicated.
There are 4 wires on the brake controller.
White = Ground
Red = To Brake Switch (applied side)
Black = Hot (MUST BE FUSED 20amp)
Blue = To trailer Brakes
The difficult part is tracing the trailer brake wire through the tow vehicle. They are not always connected in the fuse box.
Run the Black wire to a fused power source.
Run the Red wire to the Brake switch. Should be hot whem the brake pedal is depressed.
Ground the White wire to the vehicle.
To test, Have someone apply the tow vehicle brake pedal, with a test light, ground one end and touch the probe to the trailer brake lug in the receptacle.
This Kelsy controller allows the trailer brake pressure to be adjusted by the dial on the right side, Start in the middle position and adjust as necessary as trailer weight changes and road conditions.
