Auto park brake p hugill 5-12-08
We have a 1999 Surfside m/h on a p30chassis with the autobrake system. We cannot get the brake to release. Does someone out there know how to get it to release? If there is something underneath the m/h that needs doing, where is it located? No one around here seems to know.
thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Yes---first off check the "dextron" fluid level in the Auto-Park fluid resovour under your unit-crawl under at step area---small tank is there--inside metal box---it's access on rear of Assembly box---take flashlite--there is a leak---it's normally the green switch-Part No= 15961566 from GM dealer aprox $50.oo

Re: auto park brake J.I.M. 8-7-08
Can you give me the GM part numbers for the system components that I may need to replace to fix a problem with the AutoPark engaging when trying to select R (happens only when hot). Thanks

I have the same problem as J.I.M.
When the RV is hot it will lock up
when trying to go into reverse.
is there a position sensor that can
be adjusted? it never happens when the
RV is cold. I have no leaks and it has
not engaged while moving forward thank
goodness. any info will be appreciated
Willy
