I have a Motorhome that has air brakes and air ride with a built in compressor. My question is can I add an air hose to this system to air up tires, tubes, balls ect..? If so could I hook it into one of the four air tanks? The system is 115+ psi. The RV dealer told me I had to add another tank to do this for safety, is this true?
Ah, no. But you do need to figure out wiitch tank is the tank that feeds you air suspension (called the accesory tank) for safety. Then do some basic plumbing with good brass or steel fittings and good quality line the same as on your unit. Run the conecter and line to a cnvenient location. This tank is suposed to be protected so it won't fill untill the brakes are up to operational pressures. This is suposed to protect your safety if a air bag fails or your home built tire filler conector falls apart. If you tap the correct tank it no big. Get the wrong tank and it could be trouble. Good luck
