The TPS is a throttle position sensor. It tells the computer the engine load. I guarantee you that you need to bring that truck/computer/tps to get it calibrated to the engine load vs rpm vs vss (vehicle speed sensor) If you swapped the engine then the mechanic should have verified the engine load data being sent to the PWM as being the same. If is wasn't then the computer is reading a different "engine load" |
