I have a 94 Chevy G30 bus that won't shift out of 1st gear. I want to change the shift solenoid but I need an idea where they are located on the trans.
This a no big deal repair, its just messy oily and a pain in the neck from laying on the ground. Drop the pan, you will need to cut and splice wiring in the pan on the valve body. re rout the wires and length them the same way as stock (important). Make sure that the o rings and all the plastic pieces come out of the bores. To get replacment parts, GM can provide. In my area Larry's transmision supply will sell to anyone and is a magor supplier to rebuilders. Much much cheaper. And as above if there is a problem with these it should show as a code in the computer
Wires got torn off going to transmission. I have to rewire transmission from controller, If you have any wiring diagrams for transmission could you please email them or let me know please.
