Post New Message I have had this problem come to me alot on high milege vehicles basicly i can tell you this, cruise control can help you greatly with this problem if you can go to second gear set the cruse control and the engine does not just keep increasing in rpm then it is more likely to be a solonoid but if it does increase then it is more likely to be that the 3-4 clutch pack is out of your trans.
