4L80E Weak Reverse Russ 12-23-06
Have a 1999 National Dolphin MH. Chevrolet 454 V8 with 48,000 miles on it. Lost OD on a long drive. After parking overnight, OD returned and everything seemed fine. Had a fluid flush and filter changed, nothing unusual found in the pan, but filter was DIRTY. After only a few miles, forward drivability and shifting improved dramatically, however, reverse suddenly became very weak to almost non existant. Reverse is returning but slowly and not strong enough for me to feel comfortable with it on future trips. My intention is to drive it another 100 miles, then another fluid flush and filter change. Any thoughts out there on this situation? Any suggestions?

Update: After more miles, reverse is feeling better, but still not fully engaging. Where it would not back up a slight incline, it now will back up an incline but has a shutter. All forward gears feel good with shift at proper speeds. Anyone out there have any thoughts on this. My plan is still some more miles then back to the shop for another flush.
