Gear indicater for '89 LeSharo Irene 10-18-06
I have an '89 LeSharo & have had two indicaters for the gear shift to go bad for me. It is nothing more than a piece of plastic with illuminated numeral & letters to indicate the gear. The plastic gets all wrinkled & fails to slide as the gear shift is put in place. Gears shift ok, but have to just feel my way thru the gears-very annoying. This is the second one to do this. Just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem & what they did about it. I glued a piece of clear plastic to the back of this one to give it more body so it will stay in place better. Remains to be seen how good this will be or how long it will last. Have only used it once since I did this & it was sort of ok. Would like to have a good fix other than ordering a new one from parts house. They want $10.00 just to ship a piece of plastic!! Any help or thoughts will be appreciated.- Irene
