1998 4L80E Shift Problems by Bryan
Post New Message I have a 98 4l80e behind a 6.5 diesel. It will not shift into 2nd unless shifted manually, if I back off on the throttle while in D4 it will shift but very hard and I think it is actually hitting 3rd not 2nd. There are no codes and the fluid isn't burnt. Am I looking at a clutch failure here or can I look for a simpler soloution?
