Hello, I have a 1999 GMC Sierra 2500 with 14700 miles on it. The truck runs great but when i get up to 50mph, it will buck, and it feels like its trying to shift. If I let off on the gas or give it more gas it will stop. I have no clue why its doing it, and i cant find any answers online. Thanks for any info
This sounds like it might be the very deceptive lock up shudder, does the shudde buck stay continuous or just momintaarily? continuous could be an engine miss from coil failure, wire break down, 50 mph is the right speed for this to appear for some reason. The trany shop ran into this a lot, the engine makes good power and fuel economy but drops a cylinder when locked in over drive at about that speed. otherwise you have trany trouble, expensive trany trouble.
Good Luck
No other trouble with the tranny since i've owned the truck. the problem is only momintaraly, if i give it more or less gas it goes away. i'll check the wires and coil pack and get back to you. thanks
