Over the weekend, this kick set a fault code: shift solenoid A sticking or stuck. The man at Autozone said with 91,000 miles on it I should flush the trany. My shop manual says nothing about trany solenoids and that pan has a drain plug and the filter does not need to be changed. Should I drain the fluid and replace it with fresh? Where is the solenoid located, inside the pan? Is the solenoid only available from Suzuki? Thanks, Jeff
Get ALLData on line for DIY, You can get it for your vehicle for a small fee. It will show which solenoid are which, Probably only two shift solenoids anyway. Don't waste your time just replacing the fluid, pull the pan and see if you see the solenoids, if it looks like you can get to them replace them. Replace the filter too.
Bit of a headache right now, no problems with it previously, but it loses power and cuts off anytime I put it in drive from park or neutral. any suggestions
