La Sharo engine conversions	Paul Olson	7-11-06
I have a 1986 Winnebago La Sharo. Of course it has the Renault engine and drive train. I have found bits and pieces of people putting other engines and drivetrains in them. There is a company in Montana that will put a Chrysler engine and drivetrain in for 12,000+ I don't have that kind of money, and could get another motorhome for that price. I have heard bits and pieces of others putting GM systems in the LaSharo. Have you heard anything about this and do you have any information I could use to help make a decision on which way to go with this project? If you know of someone who has actually done it that I could talk with for ideas, that would be great too. Thanks for your help. Paul

I found your message about le sharo engine conversion,on the enternet.I have an 88 le sharo with a 2.2L 4 cylinder,132 cub in.renualt.front wheel drive Id like to find a rebuilt,but have had no luck.Could you E-mail me with any info you may have found on engine conversions.thanks pfeeney1@netzero.com

The same company that does the conversion used to sell various types of kits to do your own conversion, some with more complete parts than others. Good luck

I put a 1997 gm 3.8 in my lesharo and i love it i also put a diffrent generator in my lesharo i also do engine swap on them you can call me at 903-454-7771 ask for mike i own a auto repair shop

My name is mike i own a auto repair shop call quality auto repair in greenville tx. i own a 86 lesharo and i put a 97 model 3.8 in my lesharo and i love it. i also change the 4 lug rearend to match the front 5 lug setup, i can swap out your 4 cyl motor to a v6 for you, if you furnish the donor car it will run about $6,000, call mike at 903-454-5578

I am wanting to do an engine conversion to the Cadillac Northstar V8. Please can anyone guide me to a specialist who can handle the conversion.
