My 1990 ford ranger automatic transmisson will not go in reverse. while truck is running. if i put it in nuetral, it wants to go forward. when put in reverse, it again wants to go forward. thanks

Same problem with my 92 ranger your drive bands are locked up keeping it from releasing drive overhaul kits around a $100 i just bought one problem is finding a diagram on an a4ld tranny its a C3 with added over drive but i dont know if the diagram would even be close

I need to know where the vaccuum hose needs to be attached to. general idea would be appreciated.
