Post New Message I found out that the trans had been replaced around 100k, and serviced once or twice since. It uses 2-3 Qts. every 2 mos. so the fluid is always checked. It's still good but could stand to be changed. there is no indication that the trans is junk ie: slipage, juttering, or noise. 2nd, 3rd, and reverse work great, hot or cold. Symptom is not affected by temp change. I did find that the 5amp crank circuit trough the fuse box is dead, no juice. The fuse was blown, new fuse still no juice. put the meter on it, no power to the fuse. could this be related? I read that the PCM uses a crank signal to read trans input RPM (engine speed) to calculate shift points and firmness.
