C6 No 3rd Gear and manual shift	Jimmy	9-14-05
I have a 77 Lincoln Continental with a c6 trans. When i bought it, it does not shift into 3rd gear. it also does not shift automatically, you have to manually upshift and downshift the car in order to get 1st and 2nd gear. The trans shifts smooth into reverse and through 1st and 2nd. I checked the kickdown linkage and thats fine, any other ideas? thanks.

I have a motor home with a 460 and a c6. While installing a rebuilt engine I had to remove the transmission linkage.Now it doesn't have R or N.??? I removede the pan and checked the selector detent. It's fine. I can't find a repair manual. If you learn anything email me and I'll do the same.
