Want to switch to 4 spd. Which one? Trvlnlite 8-24-05  
We have a 1991 Gulfstream Sunclipper. The factory transmission is a 3 speed bolted to a Chevy 454. I'd like to switch to a 4 speed. Is there an automatic 4 speed out there heavy enough to handle the weight of a motor home that will bolt to a chevy 454? If anyone has one in their RV please let me know which model it is!

Can't do it.all heavy duty 4 speeds a designed to work electronically.computers,solenoids,sensors,etc., cheaper to buy another mh

Transmioncenter.net may have what you need, compushift by HGM Electronics. This will let you put a 4L80E, GM's best overdrive truck trans, into your RV. They also build the trans you may want to consider using
