Hi, own a 67 vw bus it has manual transmission like to convert to automatic?? know anyone?? thanx, Ray

Best advice is to forget it. VW did not have a fully automatic xmission in the year of your ty-2. The company did field a semi-auto, but most people rue the day they bought one and it was never offered in the ty-2. In addition, the 1600cc engine has all it can do to move the bus with a standard xmission. Starting in 1972, VW moved to the TY-4 engine starting with 1700cc and eventually moving out to a full 2 liters. This was a splendid engine, but expensive to repair. Hope this helps. JD
