Transmission linkage	steve	1-26-05
I got a 74 camaro and the transmission will go on park in park, goes in reverse when its in nuetral and reverse, it goes in nuetral when its in drive, goes in drive when its between drive and 2nd, and is in 2nd when its in second and 1st when its in first. just wondering how to fix it, ive been messin around with the linkage for a while still hasnt changed

I got a 1983 cadillac coupe deville all foward gears xcept reverse i found out it was its the reverse linkage what do I need to know how to fix the problem thanks

I have a 1987 Ford Ranger and i was wondering how to fix the linkage because mine is a simple fix. My park is reverse and my revers is park thats it all other gears are fine. If u can let me know how to that would be great.

Replace the worn or broken plastic bushing on the transfer shaft(between the frame & the engine support) & adjust the clip(slide it) on the shifter ring(at the steering collum). wrench

We put a new transmission in my 97 Kia Sportage and when I start off it trembles after i get to 5 mph it is fine

I have a 1991 jetta. When I start the car in first gear it putters like i was starting it in 3rd or 4th. Then when I try to shift from 4th to 5th it revs up like i was down shifting. and the shifter itself just feels loose. my roomate says its the linkage, if so do yo u knwo of any good websites to help teach me how to fix the linkage?

I have a 98gmc sierra with broken linkage i think its by my manual arm on my trasmission looks like plastic coupling how do i repair it???

Hi i been haveing this big probablem i just got a friend to rebuild my tranny and now when i go to hook up the linkage it is like 2 inches too short but when i put the tranny in 1st gear it fit but with that it is all backwards p is 1st r is 2nd n is o/d and so on not sure if i'm missing a peice are is the arm that shifts on the tranny backwards not sure what to do

I put a new tranny in my sand rail and now I dont know how to adjust the linkage! any ideas? "its a mendeola tranny" thanks

I have a '93 Camaro with some sort of linkage issue. Park is still Reverse and I think it's just loose linkage. I just really need to know what to do because I can't afford a mechanic right now. Please help.
