Transmission b-4000 shelby 1-12-05
I have a mazda b-4000 that has trouble shifting into gear "automatic trans" till I drive it for about the first 100 feet in the morning. once the vehicle warms up I no longer have the problem, am I in trouble or is it something easy to fix?
Re: transmission b-4000 Ed 1-19-05
You failed to mention a year model and if the vehicle actually moves when you put it in gear and possibly takes a long time to shift to second. This is a typical problem with pre 95 as the governor may be picking up debris and has to warm up to clear itself. Please be more specific about the symptom...Ed

Sorry, as you can now tell I no longer have an operating odometer, my Truck is a 96 automatic, two wheel drive, the vehicle will not move till I rev up the engine, I get to about 2500-3000 rpms and it will jump into gear. This is mainly a cool weather problem, I very seldom have the problem at other times. I just had my transmission serviced hoping the problem would end, I was told the fluid was very dirty but no other signs of problems were noticed. The problem with the odometer started about 2 weeks ago before my servicing and does not include my speedometer.
