Hi there, I have a 93 chev z71 with a new 350 rebuild has about 50 km on it.When the truck starts it has full oil pressure about 15 mins later the pressure drops and the light comes on i tested it with a gauge and it is below 12 psi at idle but while driving the pressure rises to it's running pressure could this be a pump probleme ?

Maybe, but it could be the rod bearings are shimmed too loose. Wonder if its a new pump, should be on a new rebuild. While i had the pan off i'd look at the rod bearing clearance.
