Trans problem on 89 Ranger	Tim	8-17-04
I have an 1989 Ford Ranger with a 5 speed manual tranny and 4 cyl engine. Transmission would not stay in reverse today. It would make a grinding sound and pop out of gear. I could forcefully hold it into reverse and it would roll but you couldn't give it any gas or it would feel like it was slipping. There was no grinding at this point. It runs fine thru the gears and I have noticed no problems until today. Got any suggestions?
