I have a 1986 Ranger with a v6 engine. My A4LD automatic transmission with overdrive went out.I replaced it with an A4LD out of a 1992. My problem is the newer trans has to electrical plug switches on the transmission and my 1986 had one electrical plug switch. What do I need to do to get the overdrive to work. The transmission works find but I have no overdrive and don't know wire it up so it will work.
Do I need to wire both switches? My old one only had the one switch. Thanks. Jim in TN
