I need to know were the transmission is on a 89 Chev. truck 350 V8 and how to change the filter. Thanks for you help.

Transmission is behind the engine, lay on the floor under the truck and you will see it, they dont have a cartridge type filter like an engine, to clean the filter you have to remove the sump,this is not recomended unless you have a problem with the gearbox..
