The transmission in my 1997 Grand Prix will not shift out of park. It is locked in the park position. Car starts and runs fine. Service engine soon light is on.
I am needing to change what I believe is my transmission coolant tube. I am short on cash and I can not afford to purchase a Hayes car manual at the moment. The leak is a tube behind the radiator and transmission fluid is coming out. Does anyone have any information that they can relay to me about this situation. Such as a how to, what might be wrong, and if the part is actually called what I assume it to be. Thank you for your time.
My 95 grand prix was leaking transmission fluid. I sealed it, I can't shift gears, I put it in anything but reverse...the car won't move. Someone told me it was the radiator or regulator valve. Something that starts with an "R". Should I try and figure it out by myself, or tow it somewhere and have it looked at? What do you think this is gonna cost me?
