I dont know if anybody answered your question, but the older big block mopars used a steel crank and they were balanced by itself. after 73 or 74 they started to use cast crankshafts, in which there is a little weight on the converter to balance out the mass. if you had an old converter you could simply cut off the weight and its done, but if you had a converter w/o a weight you would have to get a new one or get a weight kit for it have it balanced and weld on the weight. |
