Got some good help about the serious leak that showed up after several months of setting, but it turns out that the fluid is boiling up out of the filler/dipstick tube. suspect clogged pump. checked cooler system--good delivery through and return. shows one quart low on last attempt and i heard pressure hissing in the tube. pulled up on dipstick and significant pressurized air came out. have another tranny, but id label says CM instead of CJ. will they interchange? they look the same, but my engine looks like a 350 and the other looks bigger. am hoping i don't have to swap trannies. what is happening. was running fine until I parked it last fall. |
