What is best for sealing bolts in transom? D. Trompower 4-29-03  
I will be installing a platform to the transom of a I/O. What do you recomend for sealing the bolts and the screws that is better than silicone? feel free to email me if U like.

I use 3M 4200.

What kind of material is this 3M sealer?, does it stick better than silicon? and would it have a good hi temperature rating? Thanks.

Herman: 3M 4200 is a Polyurethane they also have a 5200 but you don't want to use it on anything that you would want to take apart as the stuff will rip the fiberglass apart.
