I have a 2000 Ford ranger automatic transmission that the overdrive light is now blinking... and it's shifting really hard out of 1st gear at 30 mph... what could this be.. all the fluid is there... Thanks katie

I am having the same problem!!! How many miles are on your truck? What have you done about it?

You will need to get the code/codes read with a scanner. The ECM has seen something it doesn't like from the sensors or solonoids in the trans and in now in default to get it to a repair facility. The blinking OD lite is doing that to get your attention.

I had the same problem.I had to take it in to have the transmission completely rebuilt.
