Re: Transmission leak on a 1973 Dodge Executive Sedan by Bubba The Bus Tech
Post New Message You need to figure out where on the transmission it is coming from before anyone can tell you how to fix it.

There are several common leak areas. Inside the bell-housing, cooler lines and fittings, linkage, tail housing, rear seal etc.

The way you tell is to trace the leak upwards and towards the front of the car, you will find an area that is wet with oil but clean of dirt, then the forward and above item from that clean area is the leaking component.

From there I can tell you how to fix it.

Good Luck
