TRans was working ok then switched trucks,now only have 1st and reverse any have any ideas what happened any help would great thanks Don

Question: I have the problem that it will no go on park and if on park position it wants to go forward like on drive.?? on my oder c6 it will not go any where unless is warm. you can put it on drive and it nothing. the only way is to nail the gas in till it blows the valve open or what ever it drives fine and shiftes fine. but if its cold it will not go.?? i try some crap "transx" it work for about 3 weeks and is back to the same old.

Throttle valve stuck, or the linkage binding in the "down" position.

I have a 1972 Ford P/U with 360 engine and c-6 trans. It will not upshift from low range until the truck gets up to 40 mph. Any idea?

Usually there are several possibilities:1-2 shift valve stuck or no vacuum to the modulator also Joe's ideas.

Did Ford ever bolt a C6 to a 302?

I have vacumm at the modulator, new trans filter and oil. The only problem I have is it bangs into low gear and or reverse from park or neutral. Otherwise it shifts up or down fine. Any Ideas???

Shifts okay up and down as well as kickdown for passing. Only problem is it bangs into low or reverse when shifting from park or neutral. I have vacumm at the modulator. Any Ideas. New Trans filter and oil.

I have a 1989 cub van 7.3motor i use it for a wash truck it caries about 5 to 6 hundred gallen of water the trans. keep going out about 2 a year can you put some light on my broblem

Yes they did put a c6 on a 302 i have a 79 ford with a 302 with a c6 it work good

You have a79 with a c6 i do to hte engine works fine but the passing gear inkage fell out....... don't know how but the transission won't shift in to gear or reverse at all. can you lighten my problem?
