1995 Chevy 1500 z71 trans problem Kyle 12-18-15
I bought a 1995 Chevy 1500 z71 the only problem it had was the transmission wouldn't go into reverse but it would go forward. I pulled the tranny and rebuilt the transmission myself and I fount that the reverse friction discs were worn to bare metal I replaced all of the friction discs and gaskets. Then I cleaned every part and assembled it back as I pulled them out. I put the tranny back in last week and reverse works and works perfectly but it shifts decently in drive when cold but when it gets warm I will put it in gear and it won't shift into 2nd unless I play with the throttle a bit and it feels like every gear passed 1st is neutral after a little acceleration in that gear. Does anyone know what it is that is wrong or I need to replace. Thanks Kyle
