|My 98 3/4 ton is stuck in drive in all gears the person I bought it from said it might be the linkage but i checked the linkage and that is all fine.. Does any one have any ideas?|

|The problem is inside the oil pan.|
Linkage inside to the valve body is probably disconected or broken.
This is the important part! If this is disconected or broken it usually means the "Park Pawl" is damaged. Usually by someone putting the vehical in park while moving fast enough to explode and break components.
Remove the transmission oil pan and inspect. I am wrong making this prediction about 30% of the time. It can just fall apart inside there is a nut that can come off.
