Transmission jp 1-23-12
My 05 chevy 2500hd 2wd with automatic transmission. I had the transmission rebuilt about 25k miles ago and the temp has run at about 210 deg since rebuild, shop said that was normal. The Transmission now overheats after driving for 20 miles and another garage is saying torque convertor is coming apart and wants me to buy new transmission. Truck shifts, pulls, and runs fine no slipping, shuttering, or noise just transmission overheating. Does this diagnosis sound right?

This transmision shop should have a scanner that will show trans is runnung hot. there are saved codes in trans computer. they may want to charge u 60.00 to read this and if your sure its running hot you should ask for this and MAKE them fix it what ever it is. Check your thermostat make sure that is not the problem first. converters wont lock up till temp reaches 140 degree. they may have replaced it. replace with 180 degree.and check.if nothing is done thou trans will fail again!

We have just replaced our transmission on 2007 saturn vue with 47,000 miles. tech said it was because we towed all 4 down. saturn was sold as a 4 down towable car. has anyone else had this problem?

Engine code P1537 for a 2001 Ranger 4.0L SOC engine showing low ect closed loop fuel control IMRC. I dont think that engine has the IMRC system on it?
