Joe rebuilt the transmission. Will shift to overdrive sometimes but then not. Scanner code shows a P1860 and it is something electrical TCC code. Do you have any recommendations for fixing this problem? He is at work and having me help him.....Stumped need advice please.....

This is an electrical fault code.
It may mean you have a open circuit or a short.
Check the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) fuse in the fuse box if equiped.
Otherwise check external wiring harneses on the trans for security and damage.
Then drop the trans oil pan and chech the wiring in there. Change the TCC solinoid while you are in there, They cost like $50 bucks retail and you dont want to have to do this twice.
If the problem persists you need to look carefully at what conection is bad or what wire in the harness it broken or shorted.
Good Luck
