|I have a 91 g30 chevy van installed a 87 350 4 bolt main with a 91 4L80E behind it,worked great for a week or so,while driving lost all fluid,pulled tranny replaced front seal and shaft o-ring replaced tranny still leaked,discovered had 3/8 space between converter and flexplate(don't think was like that before leak)shimed replaced still leaks. any thoughts?|

|The converter can slide back and forth slightly (3/8 is common) before it is bolted up to the flex plate and a little clearance inside the pump is needed and the flex plate locates the converter so this clerance is provided.|
The real question here is where is the leak, the converter seal I assume. When the seal was replaced did you or they replace the pump bushing and carefully inspect the converter hub for wear and cracking at the weld? All common failures causing your leak.
