Trouble shooting trans problem tom 3-6-11  
Hav a 95 dodge B2500 van w/ 318 engn automatc trans w/ overdrive belive its a "46RH" trans. drivn home and poped over RR tracks too fast, lost contact with road came back down tires started spinning on damp pavement, then nothing trans went out,Im hearing a light rattlin noise. i can hear a trans shift change fron nutural to drive or park to rev. but no movement.towed home lifted van up removed inspection plate. bolts from flywheel to torqe converter all intact, im thinkin i blew the torque converter or trans pump.any other ideas? Id hate to pull trans if it might be an outside componant

Does the drive shaft turn?
IF no remove transmision and repair broken internal hard part.
Very unlikly to be inside converter, much much more likely to be inside trans (one way, shaft, bad, clutch drum etc).
