4L80E Trans won't stay in OD James Hennis 12-13-10
1993 Chev 3500 with 4L80 E Trans will not stay in Overdrive when pulling load. I have replaced every part in trans including the most heavy duty torque converter available. Only has this problem when towing my enclosed cargo trailer with max weight of 7500 lbs. Truck sometimes will run 10, 20 or even a 100 miles before shifting back to third and staying there with no codes set. I am at my wits end having spent thousands of dollars and still having the same problem. Don't know where to go from here can someone help?
