4L80E Transmission problems Glenn Gent 11-23-09  
I have a 1998 Chevy k1500 4x4 350 4 speed auto at 50 to 55mph Im getting a surge possible torque converter lock and un lock? Any one know of a fix for this probmem? Thanks Glenn

I have a2005 chevy 3500 i keephaving problems with the trans i was told the planter keep going going out

Response (glenn gent): this is known as lock up IF your fault is at higher CRUZING speeds e.g in top gear low revs reccomend looking for aftermarket tourque converter/ stally and cooler as this is where transmission no longer/never could select which gear/load the car is under, either rebuild (no thanks) or change to a stally and cooler and get many more miles out of her yet hope this helps like i said if not at high speed and low revs please ignore advice.
