4L60e problems Bill 3-21-09
Have 94 c1500 ex. cab pickup v8 174k miles trans. rebuilt about 65k ago, put in gear seems to shift from first to third to forth to overdrive no second, reverse is also fine, also no second in manual shift also no slipping in any gear, when put in drive first[gear] seems to jump after about 2800 rpm and you let off gas and go's to third and so-on what could be causing this?

I have a 1994 Suburban with the 4L60E transmission. It shudders when I accelerate to go uphill or into drive. It also does it when I put it in D and press the accelerator slightly. I'm pretty sure it's the torque converter lockup going bad, but wanting to make sure it wasn't a sensor. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 94 GMC Safari, 1st to 2nd upshift does not occur until you left off the accelerator and it has no OD. I have tried replacing the TPS and changing fluid and filter with no change. My next step it to rebuild but I want to know if anyone knows what the exact problem is so I can make sure it gets replaced.
