|I have a 4l80e in my 93 gmc 3/4 ton 4x4. great truck.BUT. i have no reverse or overdrive. i parked it one day. went to go to work when nothing happened. i have 1 2 3 but no overdrive. cant back up. but everything else pulls great. just pulled a loaded trailor today. acted like i had overdrive off. checked the servo piston above filter. it was fine. changed filter just to doit. miles. you sittin down. 375000. any help would appreciated.|

In several trucks, I have seen road or trail debris whack the connector on the driver side of the trans. Check for bent or pushed pins in the connector and carefully re-seat the connector.
In rare instances, it may be a PCM failure, but these typically only occur if you have tampered with the PCM will come back by re-flashing it with the original code if this is the case. The 95 and later pcm's do not have a replaceable ROM, so this should not be a problem.

|Change out you tps. code 22.I had same problem. Changed the tps(throttle positiong sensor, reset code and it was perfect.|
