I have a recently aquired 1997 gmc yukon with the 4l60e tranny. Reverse is good takes off in 1st but i have to let off the gas for the shift into 2nd and will not shift into 3rd or 4th. speedometer works. we do all work on our own but not familiar with this problem.speed sensor? solenoids? any ideas would help alot.

I got you, replace the 1-2 3-4 solenoids, the filter fluid, and get the pcm reprogrammed at the dealership, this is the cheapest way to do it, it costed me $100 to have all of this done.
