Is the 2x4 and the 4x4 and 4x4 the same on a 95 ¾ ton Chevy with a 4l80e?

As much as I know, the case is the same but you have to swap the tail shaft & rear housing to go to & from 4X4. This should be verifie before undertaking a modification.
