Transmission problem Homero 4-28-08
Have a 2004 ranger edge, after running the truck for about an hour the o/d light comes on and the truck start jerking bad. I took it to a transmision repair shop and the mechanic said it had the 2nd gear busted, he gave me an estimate of 700 to 800 dls for the repair. After more then 15 days in the shop and R&R the transmission and calling every other day the mech. says after test driving it the o/d still comes on and the jerks begins. Anybody know what may be wrong? Please advise.

Hmm, if you can do it yourself, replace the shift solenoids, and run synthetic and you should be good.
