Very good, I have just got my bus home and have removed the seats. I have not yet fixed all items I will attemp to put into it. I am thinking about a sofa bed, small kitchen w/sink and putting some of the seats back on the side. What changes do you have in store for the Blusbird.

I have one too. Have you guys considered converting the double electric doors to an RV door. Any ideas where to get these doors?

Where are you getting your appliances and cabinets?
Re: shuttle bus conversion Wayne 10-2-06
I have had my bus for almost 3 weeks and have installed the sofabed, base cabinets, refer, micrwave, 4 seats from the bus and started the electric. I have a 5.5 kw generator and have ordered a 1500 watt inverter, (check out Sam's club auctions at http://auctions.samsclub.com/).
I had a handicap potty and think I might use it until I get a potty seat/tank installed. My bus is a 1996 Thor on chevy Van 30 hd cutaway and so far I am pleased with the construction of both.

Basically want to pull out the low seats and take some high seats out of an MCI bus and install int shuttle bus. Thanks!

I have a 91 Ford 24 ft. cutaway with lift. I plan on a queen size, good quality, air bed for the comfort and light weight of it. I also bought an older winabego with newer appliances for parts (the roof is shot). That's my start.

Re: shuttle bus conversion Marcia Bogan 6-17-07
We are thinking about converting a shuttle bus into a camper (RV). We are thinking about gutting it and building our bed from lightweight aluminum and using PVC for supports that won't show. I also thought about a sofa sleeper given that space might be tight. We will need to build on a tight budget. Any suggestions? How about the kitchen and bath? Are there books for "dummies" who have little or no skills in carpentry, electricity, plumbing, etc? We are rather excited at the thought of doing it ourselves. Thanks Much, Jim and Marcia
Re: shuttle bus conversion Anthony 8-18-09
Im looking for a shuttle bus that i could convert into a mini tour van. We are on somewhat of a tight budget. Mainly i just want a solid chassis, with front and rear AC. Interior can be messy, as i am going to gut it and build bunks and a small kitchen/sitting area.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
