MAN Buses Eddie 6-15-06
I am in the process of purchasing 3 1987 Man buses. One of them has 10,000 miles on a rebuilt engine. I have several questions on these. The main one being how reliable are they and how hard are they to work on. I am familiar with Detroit but looking at the engines in these buses they are a completely different animal. These buses are not going to be converted to a RV they are going to be used for party buses.

First off, where are you going to get parts for these buses and how long will it take to get the parts? If you're going to stay locally, then maybe you'll be able to have a small parts inventory for these. MAN makes excellent everything (was the company Rudolph Diesel worked with to make his peanut oil powered compression engine). Personally, it isn't worth the headache just to have something that is a little bit different-especially if you're counting on these buses to make money. Good LUck, TomC

We can probably help with supply of parts. Either genuine M.A.N. or OEM.

To do so we need part numbers. Or, you
must provide us with full bus details
including the V.I.N.

We regularly ship parts worldwide for
M.A.N. / Mercedes-Benz.
