Wood-burning stove applicable for primary heay in a RTS?? by DANatVAIL
Post New Message Just wondering...Do any of you have any experience installing a wood burning stove in an RTS? I am going to do this with an airtight stove I recently bought. The location for this stove will be center in the coach, and just in front of the rear door. My main concern is regarding the installation of the chimney thru the roof. I bought the insulating pipe...twin wall metal with insulation between. Can I simply cut a hole in the ceiling and roof skin and place the outer wall of the chimney usit directly against it, or do I need to allow for even more insulation? (note: becaust the stove I bought is made to heat perhaps 4000 square feet in a home, this stove will never really be operating anywhere near its full intended efficiency.)
