I bought a 1979 870 that has been sitting for about 3 years. I have all the service manuals and records as well as parts books but nowhere in any of these do I see the connection arrangement for the 4 batteries. They were removed from the holder and placed inside the bus for storage. I need to get new ones and connect them to see if it runs. Might someone who owns a bus like this be able to send me a pic of the connection in their bus?
Thank you
First, you need to find our if its a 12 volt or 24 volt system. That makes a huge difference (I assume at that age, it's a 12 volter!). Next, I believe you may have "Series 31" batteries and if they've been sitting for three years, I would attempt to charge them first and see if they'll even hold a charge! You bus is similar to my Flxible Metro (identical design - identical bus - different name because of the manufacturer). Once you get this information email me privately and I'll help you get it started! Bruce
