I have a 1985 orion transit bus with lots of new parts. It has a Detroit 6V71 and an Allison MTB647. I have the maintainence schedule and wiring diagram. Here is a list of new parts: New Brakes & drums,Both new batteries, New Fuel Tank,New air tank,New fuel pump,Rebuilt air dryer,4 rear tires 6000 miles on them,new heat pump,new air compressor,6 new injectors,new tail pipe & muffler. Can anyone tell me how much this is worth? Thanks!!!!

I want to buy a 1977 vw bus 198,000 miles porsche pancake motor and the body has alot of surface rust. The guy is asking 1500.00. What is it worth. Thank you.

I have a 1988 Orion Transit bus with 100K original miles and in excellent condition. Powered by Detroit 550hp 6V92T, Blower, Turbocharger, with Allison 9 speed transmission. New tires on Alcoa polished aluminum rims wheel chair lift and new heavy duty batteries. How much is it worth?

The short answer is yes and no. There are a lot of people who make their living purchasing buses and parting them out. One of the largest companies that comes to mind is Nimco. In order to make any money at parting out a bus you have to find a market first. Older equipment and their parts find a lot of buyers south of the border. For an individual to make any money on just one bus you are going to have to spend a lot of your time advertising the parts and pieces. With so many good used buses for sale right now, a lot of people are purchasing a parts bus to donate the needed pieces to another bus. For instance, a bus with a good power package that is all rusted out donating the working pieces to a straight no-rust bus with a broken engine or transmission. Good luck. Mark O.

I have a 1988 ford f-600 24 passenger bus w/wheel chair access. Good condition runs great cold a/c,about 59,000 miles good tires, rebuilt transmission.
