Anyone know of a RTS forsale close to Kentucky I need one running and in drivable condition

Plus if anyone wants 2 of them they run one has engine with antifreeze getting in the oil transmission is good

The other bus no trans but eng is good
both for 2900.00
Re: RTS Wayne S 3-23-03
Steve, Did you sell the other two? The fix for the anti-freeze in the transmission is fairly simple. Usually it is the "O" rings of the heat exchanger/cooler for the trans. In relativly rare cases the heat exchanger core corrodes and needs replacement. If the contamination didn't go on for very long generally the trans will survive unless it was on the way out anyway.

I am in WV. May be interested in your RTS for sale. Where in KY are you located.

QUESTION/1975 GMC Transit Bus/40 Ft./As Storage Container/What Worth???????????????????? Randy Vaughn 8-17-04
Hello,

What is a 1975 GMC 40 Ft. Transit Bus Worth? The body inside and out are a bit rough, but not too bad; the diesel engine runs but can't get it into gear. Needs batteries etc.

I just need it initially as a "Storage Container", but may fix it up a little down the road.

He wants $300 without the engine, and $500 with the engine.

Please somebody give me some council on this. Is this a fair price?

PLEASE ADVISE,

Randy Vaughn

RE: Antifreeze in oil(71 series Detroit). I went through that once the hard way. Then I met a fellow who said he had done this fix in a half hour. Identify the leaking injector sleeve (copper) remove injector take an old cummins injector insert into the copper sleeve and hit with a four pound sledge. This, he said, re-swages the copper and stops the leak. Take that for what it might be worth.
